Oprah Kills Elmo
I felt the need to post this, because I think it's wrong on so many levels.Yesterday's Oprah was about faces behind famous names, for example she had on fashion designer Marc Jacobs, the lady who was the inspiration for the Barbie doll, and the lady behind the Jimmy Choo empire. All fine, and great.
Then she brings out Kevin Clash, the current puppeteer who animates Elmo. The guy comes out with his hand up Elmo's ass. I couldn't believe it! I was shocked they'd actually show that.
I believe the producers of Sesame Street should have been more responsible. Couldn't she interview the guy without Elmo? Orpah is on right after school. How many innocent children's dreams were crushed? The magic behind one of television's icons ruined. It was a sad experience.
Just because Oprah can do whatever she wants, doesn't mean she should. I've never seen Elmo look so sad in my life.
Jim Henson is rolling around in his grave.

I had the same feeling, when I saw Elmo looking so inanimate while the "voice" was talking. It was really sad indeed.
Why would any child be watching Oprah? I have 3 boys, 5, 8 and 10 and not only do they not have a clue as to who she is and wouldn't watch her anyhow, a lot of the topics she discusses aren't exactly child friendly! Oprah is an adult oriented show, not for children! So if any child was watching, shame on the parent.
Actually, I could see how a child "channel surfing" could stop at this show, because they see Elmo, and yes, they would be discouraged.
Elmo is evil.

Kevin Clash is just like any other pupetteer... You dont go up to a comedian guy and tell him to take his hands out of the puppets ass while he's doing an act.

Just so you know Jim Henson did appearances with Kemit all the time and even went on the “Arsenio Hall Show” with his hand up Rolf’s ass and called Arsenio a son of a bitch. Think you need help dude, your taking the muppets way to serious.
Arsenio Hall was on after most kids Bedtime, dude.
Oprah is on right after school, kids get home, and start flippin chanels... boom, Elmo, hand up his ass.
