Boy George Sweeping The Streets

Boy George, who was born George O'Dowd, cleans inside the sanitation depot during his community service today in New York. The one-time Culture Club singer was ordered to spend five days working for the Department of Sanitation after pleading guilty in March to falsely reporting a burglary at his lower Manhattan apartment. The officers who responded found cocaine instead.

Geez. This is plain old public humiliation. Not that he should be ashamed of community service, like another wretched person I know. He looks like he's taking it pretty well. I mean, really, can the media blow this a little MORE out of proportion?
